Best Graphics Card for 4 Monitors – Want to have a 2, 3, 4, or more monitors linked together? Check out the best video cards for multiple monitors setups. We included both productivity and gaming scenarios.
Having one monitor hooked to your PC is fine but a multi monitor setup is much better. Whether you want a secondary monitor to read your Discord feed while raiding in Destiny 2, multiple monitors where each lists a different stock market feed, or just want more desktop space while working, multi monitor setup is the way to go.
These days, it’s relatively easy to set up even 10 monitors to work together. All you need is a little internet know-how. On the other side, getting the best video card for multiple monitors setup is a tad more difficult. Depending on your usage scenario, you have to think about different things.
ROUND UP
1.XFX RX 5600 XT THICC II PRO
Features
- The AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card is designed for the ultimate 1080p gaming experience. Turn up your settings for higher fidelity and boost gaming performance for higher frame rates with ultra-fast response times. Get the power of the highly acclaimed RDNA architecture, the heart of AMD’s advanced 7nm technology process, as well as GDDR6 high-speed memory and PCI express 4.0 support, delivering a highly responsive, ultimate 1080p gaming experience
- GPU 5600XT
- Memory 6GB GDDR6 at 14Gbps
- XFX Thicc II dual fan cooling
The XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT Thicc II Pro is a good graphics card that suffers from AMD’s disjointed launch for the Radeon RX 5600 XT.
AMD pitched its GPU as a rival to Nvidia’s identically priced GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. Then the company rushed out optional last-second BIOS updates that could greatly enhance memory and clock speeds (and thus performance), because Nvidia and its partners rolled out GeForce RTX 2060 models rather than cutting costs on the GTX 1660 Ti.
The eleventh-hour change indeed made the RX 5600 XT competitive with Nvidia’s RTX 2060, but AMD’s partners had already designed their lineup around the original specifications. That means you’ll find a wide variety of custom Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics cards available, some much faster than others, and with pricing that can sometimes seem befuddling.
2.XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT
Features
- ✅ THICC II - Introducing the XFX THICC II. Built on the acclaimed Ghost Thermal 2.0 designs to yield lower temperatures and heightened performance that adapt to the intensity of the moment. With nearly twice the heatsink surface area and 35% less fan noise, the THICC II brings you ahead of the curve.
- ✅ GPU - AMD RX 5700 XT
- ✅ GPU Boost Clock Up to 1905MHz
- ✅ Memory - 8GB GDDR6 Memory
The Thicc II Ultra evokes XFX’s beloved Double Dissipation design, with an ultra-clean, black-and-chrome scheme reminiscent of American muscle cars, and revved-up clock speeds to match. Like any hot rod, though, you’ll need to tinker with it a bit for the best performance, and you can hear it purring when you put the pedal to the gaming metal.
It’s worth it. The XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT Thicc II Ultra is extremely impressive and extremely fast, pushing AMD’s new flagship GPU well past the similarly priced GeForce RTX 2060 Super’s performance. With its optimizations, the Thicc II Ultra inches awfully close to the RTX 2070 Super’s frame rates. You’ll be able to find it at retailers this week, but XFX sent us an early review sample to test. Let’s get to it.
3.ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 TI
Features
- 90YV0CC0-M0NM00
ASUS RTX 2080 Ti STRIX OC is the most expensive RTX 2080 Ti card at this time. This price increase over the Founders Edition can only be justified if you look at the card for its low noise potential. Since reference designs were promised to retail at low price, the ASUS is 30% more expensive—just for a custom design!
I could see myself spending that money, though, because noise matters a lot to me, which means I’d switch the card to the “quiet” BIOS and never look back.
As someone who is fortunate enough to review PC peripherals for a living, it’s safe to say that at this point, I have pretty much seen every kind of GPU there is. That’s one of the drawbacks of the job I guess, nothing really excites me anymore.
Having said that, there are some products that blow my socks off once in a while, the Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080Ti is one of them.
4.ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080
Features
- Powered by NVIDIA Turing with 3072 CUDA cores and overclock-selected 8GB GDDR6 256-bit memory
- Supports up-to 4 monitors with DisplayPort 1. 4, HDMI 2. 0 and a VR headset via USB Type C ports
- Auto extreme and Max-Contact Technology deliver premium quality and reliability with aerospace-grade Super Alloy Power II components while maximizing heatsink contact
- Triple Axial-Tech 0db Fans increase airflow through the heatsink and boasts IP5X dust-resistance.
- Asus Aura Sync RGB lighting features a nearly endless spectrum of colors with the ability to synchronize effects across an ever-expanding ecosystem of AURA Sync enabled products
The Asus ROG Strix RTX 2080 Super OC is the company’s flagship 2080 Super offering, a GPU that ranks near the top of the best graphics cards and GPU hierarchy. The Asus card comes with a modest 45 MHz bump in core clocks over reference speeds, with the same 1,937 MHz GDDR6 clock that’s good for 15.5 Gbps of throughput.
This slight increase in clocks yields a negligible increase in performance over the RTX 2080 Super Founders Edition (FE). The ROG Strix’s main feature is the large cooling solution used to tame the Turing core running below. The 3-slot, almost 12-inch (30cm) card focuses on running cool and quiet while delivering top-notch performance.

If you’re a regular Tom’s Hardware reader, then you’re already familiar with our monthly Best Graphics Cards for the Money column, written by Don Woligroski. Basically, Don maintains a list of the most value-oriented deals at a number of price points to help game enthusiasts make purchasing decisions.
Once upon a time, the list was absolutely dominated by hardware from Nvidia. Slowly, though, I’ve watched it shift the other direction. And each month, as I’m editing the column, I grill Don on his selections in order to make sure the right recommendations make it in.
