1.Gigabyte GV-N1030OC-2GI

Pros & Cons

For a full list of the games that this card will run and the chance to compare it to similar cards check our graphics card comparison – we have tracked 6 cards with a similar GPU and 2 of them are cheaper than this setup – no need to wait for a sale or Black Friday 2021 to get the best price on a card like this.

This NVIDIA graphics card features the NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 processor. The processor, also known as the GPU, is the most important component in any graphics card. PCGameBenchmark rates processors by how many of the top 1,000 PC games the chip can run. This PC graphics card has a chip that can run 484 of the top 1000 games – so we give it a 48% rating.

2.ZOTAC GeForce GT 1030

Pros & Cons

The GeForce GT 1030 is supplied by Zotac. Due to the low-profile PCB, this graphics card can easily be built into even the smallest of cases. The tiny graphics chip is nicknamed GP108 and is manufactured with the A1-stepping process.

Official data about the chip has not been published yet, hence it can only be speculated how many transistors can be found on the 14-nm-built die. The Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 features 384 shaders, its 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM is connected via a 64-bit interface and it supports up to four PCIe Gen3 lanes.

3.MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 2060

Pros & Cons

These are MSI’s Torx 2.0 fans; the GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming Z uses its more advanced Torx 3.0 fans. In the realm of aftermarket graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus OC Edition has a relatively subdued look. It’s devoid of flashy colors and design flair, and it has no LED bling at all. For all of those, you can step up to MSI’s GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming Z, and numerous other aftermarket models (for extra money, of course).

The GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus OC Edition is 8.9 inches long, which is standard fare for a graphics card in this performance tier. It’s significantly wider than the GeForce RTX 2060 Founders Edition, though, at 5 inches as opposed to 4.4 inches. That can be problematic if you use a small-form-factor (SFF) case, but fitment should be a non-issue in a mid-ATX tower or larger. This card has a two-slot height. The GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus XS models are shorter at 8.5 inches, but are, oddly, 0.1 inch wider according to MSI’s specifications.

4.XFX Radeon RX 570

Pros & Cons

Packing a punch at 1920×1080, the Polaris-based cards deliver excellent performance for your dollar. Last year I looked at the RX 580 GTS 8GB from XFX and now am putting the RX 570 8GB RS version to the test as I look at the XFX RX 570 RS 8GB XXX Edition. XFX offers this card in three iterations, including the XXX edition I am looking at, along with a pair of Black Edition cards.

Mid-range gaming is a very healthy spot to make your mark. The RX 570 RS 8GB XXX edition is a factory overclocked card that uses 8GB of high-speed GDDR5 memory to keep the card from being handicapped. As I saw previously, the RX 500 series cards are fully able to deliver a great 1920×1080 gaming experience in every game I can test. Bumping up to 2560×1440 was even possible on the RX 580 cards I tested. I expect no less from this card from XFX.

5.XFX RX 570 4GB GDDR5

Pros & Cons

The bears most of the RX 570’s specifications but is based on a slightly more mature 14nm fab process allowing for higher core and boost speeds and shares the same basic core. AMD did rename the Ellesmere PRO core to Polaris 20 XL but it’s the same 232mm² DIE size, same 5,700 million transistors and keeps it’s 2048 shaders and 4 GB GDDR5. The biggest difference is, of course, the faster core speed on the more mature fab process giving up to a 9% boost in speed.

Today I will be looking at the XFX RX 570 RS 4GB XXX Edition. This factory overclocked card runs at 1264 MHz right out of the box, which XFX refers to as “True Clock”, while the 4GB of memory run at 7000MHz. But don’t let these seemingly conservative numbers discourage you, this card is XFX OC+ capable.

What is that exactly you might ask? In a nut shell, it means that the good folks at XFX spent sleepless nights making sure that every one of these cards is rigorously tested at the factory level to go beyond the True Clock speeds. And I can confirm this fact right here and now! This little card is quite the overclocker.  If you can’t hold your breath anymore, you can head to the overclocking section and see what I managed to squeeze out of it.
