1.Lenovo – IdeaPad L340

Pros & Cons

The Lenovo IdeaPad L340 offers a powerful processor with up to 4.5 GHz clock speeds and12 MB cache for fast processing.

Also, the laptop can take a memory capacity of up to 16 GB. Even better, the laptop offers superb graphics. The only minor downside is the lack of a DVD drive but who uses them these days!

2.Acer Nitro 5

Pros & Cons

In November 2018, we reviewed an , AMD Ryzen 5-powered version of Acer’s 15.6-inch Nitro 5 budget gaming laptop. Today, we’re doing it again. What’s changed, aside from the new Nitro being  cheaper ( at Best Buy for our test model)?

Well, the 2018 rig had a quad-core Ryzen 5 2500U processor and barely managed 30 frames per second (fps) in 1080p gaming. This one has AMD’s new Ryzen 5 4600H—a six-core chip that’s priced like an Intel Core i5 but slugs it out with Core i7 CPUs—and approaches 60fps in top titles. It makes compromises for its low price, but if you can’t afford our  Editors’ Choice, the MSI Bravo 15, you will find it a terrific value.

3.Asus TUF

Pros & Cons

The Asus TUF A15 is what we would call an affordable gaming laptop, which means it’s not as cheap as budget offerings, but nor is it as expensive as high-end gaming laptops aimed at enthusiasts.

Still, ‘affordable’ when it comes to gaming laptops still means a decent chunk of change, and the Asus TUF A15 starts out at low price. That’s certainly pricey, although it offers much better value for money compared to some gaming laptops, such as the Alienware m15.

4.Acer Aspire A315

Pros & Cons

The Acer Aspire 3 accommodates a large keyboard with a compact numpad, which is a handy feature for those in the habit of a full-size keyboard. The numpad is narrow, however, and just manages to squeeze in. If you don’t use a numpad much to begin with, it shouldn’t be an issue, but it’s a nice option to have.

The touchpad offers plenty of space to manoeuver. It responds to two-finger scrolling and right clicks, though you can left and right click by physically pressing down the touchpad if you prefer.

5.HP Pavilion Laptop

Pros & Cons

The HP Pavilion 14 is a good-looking laptop. The aluminium chassis in frosted silver gives it elegance, despite the mid-range price. It’s polished for office use, without the awful chunkiness you get on some business laptops, such as the (otherwise excellent) Acer Aspire 3.

If you’re interested in a machine that will double up for personal and professional use, the Pavilion 14 definitely looks the part.
