Best Laptop for Streaming Twitch

Best Laptop for Streaming Twitch – Gaming has become one of the significant sources of entertainment for the youth. It not only helps in keeping the brain active but also can profit you with finance. To become a pro-player, one needs to have a great laptop. A laptop that does not lag while the player is live-streaming their play. So go through the above and list choose the best laptop for streaming on Twitch.

We have recommended 7 very powerful laptop computers above, all of them being perfect for live streaming. We also did our best to cover all budget ranges, so that you have a model that’s as close to your budget as possible.

The golden rule of thumb here is that the more expensive models are also better, but don’t go above and beyond your means just to get the most amazing one out there: all these laptops are really good!

ROUND UP

The market has numerous laptops. Each has its specifications and functioning. The above list filters out the best laptops which can be used to stream on the Twitch platform.

1.Acer Aspire

There are two types of laptops I’ve come to expect from Acer: Standout premium models like the crazy Swift 7 ultraportable and Predator Triton 900, and mainstream laptops that are impossibly good deals — like last year’s Predator Helios 300 and this year’s Acer Aspire 5.

For more than a year, Acer’s Aspire E 15 was my go-to pick for anyone who just needed a quick, reliable laptop for general use around the home. Sadly, that model is getting harder to find, but the Aspire 5 is an excellent alternative that’s thinner, lighter and still an impossibly good deal.

2.Acer Predator Helios

Can a metal-clad gaming laptop be had without dropping some serious coin? You bet: Acer’s Predator Helios 300 has been making that possible since 2018. Now two generations matured, this 2020 version  is largely a hardware refresh of last year’s model with Intel’s “Comet Lake” silicon and up to a 240Hz screen.

It put both to good use in our gaming benchmarks, where it produced best-in-class gaming frame rates while almost doubling the battery life of its predecessor. Asus’ ROG Zephyrus G14 remains an outstanding choice for a more portable gamer, but the Predator Helios 300 checks just about every box and then some if you’re after a larger screen. It’s our new Editor’s Choice holder for mid-range 15-inch gaming notebooks.

3.Lenovo Legion

For about four years, Lenovo has been present in the high-end gaming market with its Legion gaming laptops. But the introduction of the predecessor models with Nividia graphics cards of the 2000 series happened at the worst possible time, right before Nvidia introduced its new graphics cards of the 3000 series.

With a Ryzen 7-5800H processor, 32 GB of DDR 4 working memory, a 1-GB NVMe SSD, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, our test unit offers a good equipment base to achieve a top performance. However, Lenovo doesn’t quite succeed in creating a technological marvel such as that created by Tony Stark in the Marvel Comics with his Ark Reactor. At the same time, the single tests show that the hardware of the competitors, despite looking better on paper, doesn’t always bring the better performance.

4.Razer Blade

At nearly the top of Razer’s configuration tree sits this  model that I’ve been testing for the last week. It has a powerful eight-core Intel Core i7-10875H processor, Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Super Max-Q graphics chip, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and 16GB of RAM. Topping it off, it has a 1080p display with a 300Hz refresh rate.

This configuration is powerful, and it has no issue playing all of today’s most demanding games at high frame rates with its display’s native 1080p resolution (yet ray tracing without hand-holding via Nvidia’s AI-assisted DLSS feature still presents a big challenge, as I’ll get into later). Pricing for the Blade 15 Advanced starts at $2,599, and that price will get you the same processor and 300Hz refresh rate display but with the Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Max-Q, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB NVMe SSD.

5.HP OMEN

The HP Omen 16 has been newly introduced this year. The older Omen 15 still has not seen a direct successor. Instead, HP has fitted a 15.6-inch chassis with a 16.1-inch display. As a result, the bezels are now smaller and there are small differences in the construction of the case. Compared to last year’s model, there are of course also CPU (Tiger Lake) and GPU (RTX 3000) upgrades.

Naturally, we will compare our test device with its predecessor, the HP Omen 15 (Ryzen 4000 and RTX 2060), and its new sibling, the HP Victus 16 (Ryzen 5000 and RTX 3060). Additionally, we selected the similarly equipped Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16, the more expensive Alienware x15 R1 and the MSI Katana GF66 11UG as devices for our comparison.

Best Laptop for Streaming Twitch – BUYER’S GUIDE

We’ve mostly gone through what you need to know when looking for a streaming laptop but we’ve also added some minimum specs for you to see what you should be looking for at the very minimum.

  • At least 1080p Screen resolution.
  • IPS or OLED Panel type.
  • 8-16GB of RAM.
  • SSD storage for quick boot ups.
  • Minimum of 7 hour battery life.
  • Bluetooth and 1/8th inch jack for audio.
  • Intel i3 or Ryzen 3 Processor.

As long as your new laptop meets these specifications as a bare minimum then you should have a great streaming experience.

You won’t experience stuttering, buffering, waiting to open browsers/apps or the dreaded loading icon (as long as your internet can keep up).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I not stream videos on a 720p monitor?

Of course, you can, videos can be streamed on any screen all the way down to 144p, however, most videos are a minimum of 1080p (FHD).

So streaming that content on a lesser monitor means you’re willingly leaving out certain parts of your favorite show.

Imagine a sensor bar covering the middle of your screen, this is effectively the same but that censor bar is evenly distributed across the whole video.
