There’s a 3rd category however which is also divided into several different ones, professionals. Two of the most common groups are photographers who are looking for the best possible (not to mention reliable) color reproduction and office workers who also place quite a bit of weight on image quality and of course reduced eye strain. EIZO has always catered to the needs of both and today with me i have a model which should cover a good percentage of these groups (not everyone obviously), the FlexScan EV3285.
EIZO (TSE:6737), which means image in Japanese, is a visual technology company that develops and manufactures high-end visual solutions to enrich people in their professional and personal lives. The EW3280U is fine for casual gaming, but it doesn’t have a wealth of gaming-centric features. It supports AMD FreeSync adaptive-sync technology, but is limited to a refresh rate of 60Hz, unlike the BenQ EX2780Q, which supports refresh rates of up to 144Hz.
Still, the EW3280U did fine in handling gameplay and some canned benchmark runs with the titles Final Fantasy XV and Far Cry 5, showing a minimum of artifacts. I switched among Game HDRi, Cinema HDRi, DisplayHDR, and SDR modes; Cinema HDRi generally showed the best contrast.back to menu ↑

The display size, also known as viewable image size (VIS) is the physical size of the area where videos are displayed – not the monitor case itself. The size of a screen is the length of its diagonal, which is the distance between opposite corners, usually in inches. The display size of this large monitor is 27 inches. Check our compare monitors page to see other monitors this size at a larger range of prices.
When it comes to the all important specs the max screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels, and the response time is 1 ms. This is a 1080p Asus monitor.back to menu ↑

For many, the LG 27UL850 is a 27-inch, 4K monitor that ticks all of the necessary boxes. It has an Ultra HD resolution and HDR, plus HDMI ports and a USB-C connection. It also has a quick response time, decent brightness, a matt anti-glare screen, a height-adjustable stand and bundled software to help tune the display to your exact needs.
Wall-mountable, the LG monitor also has a smart design with relatively thin bezels on three sides and a hidden joystick for controlling its various inputs and settings.back to menu ↑
- RESOLUTION & PANEL — 23.8-inch Full HD monitor (1920 x 1080p at 60 Hz) with 16:9 aspect ratio and an anti-glare matte IPS LED-backlit panel (2 million pixels, 16.7 million colors)
- RESPONSE TIME — 5ms with overdrive for a smooth picture that looks crisp and fluid without motion blur
The VH240a employs a 23.8-inch (measured diagonally) in-plane switching (IPS) screen, with full HD/1080p resolution (1,920 by 1,080 pixels) and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The panel has a respectable pixel density of 92 pixels per inch (ppi), which is more than enough for typical home or office use, though photo or video enthusiasts will likely want a screen with a higher pixel density.
As is typical of IPS displays, the VH240a has very wide viewing angles, rated at 178 degrees for both vertical and horizontal. I saw a minimum of color distortion or posterization, even when I viewed the screen from the most extreme off-center angles.back to menu ↑
