Best American Made Vacuum Cleaner

Best American Made Vacuum Cleaner – Whether you’re looking to replace your old vacuum or you’re shopping for your first one, it can be hard to know which is right for you. There are a lot of vacuum manufacturers on the market right now, each offering different design types, features, and specs that may be limited to their models.

Some brands even focus on specific products like robot vacuums or vacuums for commercial use. However, there isn’t one definitive answer for the best vacuum cleaner brands for your needs. Still, sorting by brand can be one helpful way to understand what kinds of design and specs are currently available.

ROUND UP

1.Shark AZ1002

If you prefer bagless vacuums, but still want a model that filters out tiny particles, the Shark APEX is a great option. In our most recent Cleaning Lab test, it exhibited very good cleaning performance on both carpeting and bare floors and was one of the quietest models we tested.

Because it converts from an upright to a canister with the press of a button, tackling stairs and nabbing pesky dust bunnies lurking in corners or hiding behind furniture is easy to do without missing a step.

2.Bissell 1984

BISSELL is an American manufacturer of budget-friendly vacuums for the home. They also own Sanitaire, which produces vacuums for commercial use. They offer a variety of vacuum types so that you can find the one best suited for your needs. While their lower price point tends to be most noticeable in their plasticky and sometimes flimsy build quality, this material helps keep them lightweight and portable.
Many of their models also have a bagless design, so you don’t have to worry about replacing this part unless it’s damaged. However, they don’t usually have a HEPA filter to help trap allergens and lack power adjustment features.

3.Miele Complete C3

Miele is a German manufacturer that makes a variety of home appliances, including ovens, dishwashers, and coffee machines, as well as vacuum cleaners. They mostly make canister vacuums but offer other types, like stick/handheld vacuums and even a robot vacuum. They usually come in several different variants meant for different purposes, like a certain surface type or kind of debris. They offer models that use a dirtbag as well as bagless vacuums. Miele vacuums tend to look premium and be very well-built, as well as being easy to maintain.

The Miele Complete C3 Alize PowerLine is the best Miele vacuum that we’ve tested. This premium bagged canister vacuum has amazing build quality, with a high-grade plastic body, dense rubber wheels, and a telescopic wand made of stainless steel. It’s also remarkably easy to maintain.

4.Dyson – V15

Dyson is a British manufacturer well-known for making vacuums. They also sell other home appliances like fans and hair dryers. They make colorful, stylish-looking vacuums that use a patented root or digital cyclone motor design, which relies on centrifugal force for its suction power and sets Dyson vacuums apart from other brands. Their vacuums use a bagless design and often come with lots of accessories. They’re usually cordless stick/handheld models, but they also make canister and upright models, among others. They’re usually made entirely of plastic, which means they often don’t weigh very much, but sometimes feel a bit flimsy.

The Dyson V15 Detect is the best Dyson vacuum we’ve tested. This cordless stick vacuum easily cleans pet hair and small and bulky material from bare floors. It does a fantastic job sucking up debris from low and high-pile carpet too.

5.iRobot Roomba s9+

iRobot was founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1990 and initially focused on creating robots for scientific and medical use. Their first robot vacuum, the Roomba, was released in 2002, and nowadays, iRobot primarily makes robot vacuums, as well as robot mops. They generally have several models available at different price points, so you can find one that suits your needs and budget. Most iRobot vacuums work with the iRobot HOME app. They’re usually well-built and often have an allergen-trapping HEPA filter. Their battery performance tends to be fantastic, and they recharge quickly compared with other robot vacuums that we’ve tested. However, like most robot vacuums, they often have demanding maintenance needs and high recurring costs.

The iRobot Roomba S9 is the best iRobot vacuum that we’ve tested. This amazingly well-built robot vacuum’s iAdapt 3.0 navigation system creates increasingly efficient cleaning routes of its coverage area throughout many cleaning sessions and enables it to maneuver around obstructions.

6.eufy

eufy is a sub-brand of Chinese electronics company Anker Innovations. This company focuses on manufacturing a wide variety of smart home devices, including baby monitors, security cameras, and video-enabled doorbells. They also have a wide range of robot vacuums, most of which are priced at a relatively budget-friendly price point. Most eufy robot vacuums tend to be fairly compact and perform best on bare, even surfaces like hardwood or tile.

Many of their vacuums also feature the brand’s ‘BoostIQ’ feature, which allows them to automatically change their suction power mode depending on the surface that they’re on. Unfortunately, they usually struggle with clearing debris on carpeted floors, and the majority of their lineup have basic mapping systems and rudimentary automation features. They also tend to incur high recurring costs and have many parts that need regular cleaning.

7.Tineco Floor

After testing the TINECO Floor One S3 Smart Wet/Dry Vacuum on multiple surfaces, we can confirm that it is made for hardwood. On hardwood, this combo vacuum excelled at picking up the materials, and was given a 5-star rating by our tester. On a low-pile carpet, it even received 5 stars for its ability to lift each of the materials off the carpet in just one to two passes. Trouble ensued, in the form of error messages, the moment this wet-dry vacuum tried to take on a thicker carpet. So, if you’re looking for a vacuum that will clean all the surfaces in your home, this is not the one.

However, if you’re looking to make your hardwood sparkle, this TINECO model has your back. It’s smooth on smooth surfaces, and can even thoroughly mop your floor if you make use of the dual tanks.
