Best Automatic Vacuum for Pets

Best Automatic Vacuum for Pets – It can be a pain to be constantly cleaning up after a shedding pet. While you love your furry friends, their hair and dandruff can quickly pile up and get caught in fibers or under furniture. Luckily, a robot vacuum can help take some weight off your shoulders by automating the cleaning process.

It can independently travel around your home and pick up pet hair so you can spend more time with your cats or dogs. A robot vacuum can be helpful if you’re in the middle of seasonal shedding, as you can program it to clean a room several times a day if needed.

1.iRobot Roomba s9+

The best robot vacuum for pet hair that we’ve tested on carpets is the iRobot Roomba S9. It’s a premium vacuum with excellent build quality, made of high-grade plastic. It’s remarkably efficient at picking up pet hair from all surface types and has a HEPA filter to reduce allergens. It also automatically adjusts its brushroll to different surface types, so it can easily maneuver across carpets.

It has a sophisticated automation system that allows it to develop increasingly efficient cleaning patterns. Once you connect it to the iRobot Home app, it creates a virtual map of your space, and from there, you can set up virtual boundary markers or schedule cleaning sessions for specific rooms. The app also lets you monitor the vacuum’s battery life and turn it On/Off remotely, and the vacuum has a fantastic battery life with a relatively quick recharge time.

2.Neato D8

If you’re looking for a robot vacuum that has fewer parts needing regular cleaning, take a look at Neato D8. This robot vacuum doesn’t feel quite as premium as the iRobot Roomba S9 and can’t adjust its brushroll height automatically, but it does have fewer maintenance requirements. It also does a similarly fantastic job of cleaning pet hair on low and high-pile carpet.

You can use its companion app to change its suction power mode, set up virtual boundary markers on its coverage map, or check cleaning session history. It also has a HEPA filter to trap allergens as it cleans. Unfortunately, its battery life of approximately 40 to 70 minutes isn’t nearly as long as the iRobot. In addition, while its maneuverability is decent overall, it still gets stuck around obstructions far more frequently, and it can struggle to climb over obstacles like electrical cords.

3.yeedi Vac

The best robot vacuum for cleaning up pet hair on bare floors that we’ve tested is the yeedi vac station. This robot vacuum has a self-emptying function that lets it dump any accumulated debris from its internal dustbin into a dirt compartment built onto its charging station. It offers a wide variety of other automation functions, as you can use its companion app to schedule cleaning sessions for specific areas or rooms in your house and set up boundary lines that the vacuum won’t cross.

This vacuum delivers superb pet hair cleaning capability on flat, even surfaces like hardwood floors. It even comes with a mopping attachment that’s advertised for clearing messes on bare floors. Its surface detection feature is helpful if you have a lot of rugs around your home since it enables it to avoid carpets when mopping or increase its suction power when vacuuming carpeted surfaces. Battery performance is exceptional, as you can expect roughly anywhere between 80 to 180 minutes of runtime on a single charge.

4.roborock E4

The best robot vacuum for pets that we’ve tested in the budget category is the Roborock E4. Despite its relatively affordable price, its high-grade plastic construction feels impressively robust. Depending on your choice of suction power mode and usage habits, it supplies roughly anywhere between two to three hours of continuous runtime, which should be more than enough to clean larger areas.

This vacuum can automatically adjust its suction power level depending on the floor type that it’s on. It has an allergen-trapping HEPA filter and does a superb job of sucking up pet hair on a wide variety of surface types, from hardwood and tile floors to high-pile carpet. It’s also impressively maneuverable, as it easily avoids obstructions like furniture and is small enough to clean under some couches and tables.

5.eufy by Anker

If you’re looking for a less expensive robot vacuum, you may want to take a look at the eufy RoboVac 11S. This budget-friendly robot vacuum doesn’t feel as well-built as the Roborock E4, incurs higher recurring costs, and has more parts that require regular cleaning, but it’s notably cheaper. It does a good job cleaning pet hair from low and high-pile carpets, though it struggles a little more when clearing this kind of debris from bare floors.

Depending on your suction power level and usage habits, it supplies anywhere between 70 to over 100 minutes of runtime, which should be sufficient for cleaning most spaces. It also doesn’t require an internet connection to function since it comes with a remote control. Unfortunately, it lacks any physical boundary markers to keep it out of certain areas. It also doesn’t come with a HEPA filter to trap allergens as it cleans.

6.ILIFE V3s Pro

Who would’ve thought that one of the best cheap robot vacuums available is also one of the best for tackling pet hair? The inexpensive iLife V3s Pro is light on bells and whistles, but big on keeping your floors free from fur. This bump-and-clean robot sets itself apart with a 3-inch suction opening instead of a brush roll for ingesting debris. Not only does that aid in picking up dog hair, but it also makes maintenance easier since you won’t need to spend time removing hair from a brush roll.

The iLife V3s Pro really shines on bare surfaces, such as hardwood floors and tile, though it works well on thinner rugs, too. The random cleaning pattern of the V3s Pro means it might miss a few spots or, as we found in our review, get fixated on a certain area.

7.Coredy R400

This budget-friendly robot vacuum does almost everything — and lasts up to 120 minutes fully charged. Kate Jaffe, Pet Trends Expert at Rover, considers the slim 2.7-inch tall vacuum to be the best value for your wallet due to its array of accessories: a high-efficiency filter, four side brushes, cleaning brush, remote control, charging dock, and an adaptor.

And while it does work on carpet, if you buy the additional water tank and cleaning mop attachment, you can transform the vacuum into a wet mop.
