Best Dyson Vacuum for Stairs

Best Dyson Vacuum for Stairs – The best cordless Dyson vacuum with a handheld design that we’ve tested is the Dyson Humdinger.

This compact cordless vacuum is remarkably effective when cleaning debris on bare floors and does an excellent job on high-pile carpet, though it struggles somewhat with larger debris on low-pile carpet. It comes with a miniature turbo brush, a crevice tool, a clip-on dusting brush, and a ‘Worktop’ tool meant for vacuuming hard surfaces, like counters and tabletops.

1.Dyson v15

Pros & Cons

The best Dyson vacuum we’ve tested is the Dyson V15 Detect. This stick vacuum does a fantastic job sucking up pet hair and debris from bare floors and delivers incredible cleaning performance on low and high-pile carpet. Its suction performance also remains consistent as its dirt compartment fills up, which is good if you have several large messes to deal with.

When using it in its ‘Auto’ mode, it can automatically adjust its suction power depending on the surface it’s currently on. You can quickly reconfigure it into a handheld vacuum. It comes with a few attachments, including a turbo brush and a secondary floorhead with a laser light that makes it easier to identify fine debris on hard surfaces. Depending on your settings, attachments, and usage habits, it should supply 10 to 70 minutes of runtime.

2.Dyson V11

Pros & Cons

Dysons are often considered the gold standard when it comes to vacuum cleaners—and this cordless V11 model is the brand’s most powerful one yet.

Shoppers are clearly convinced that it’s worth the hype based on its 6,500+ five-star ratings. The cordless vacuum comes with plenty of accessories, like a mini motorized head and crevice tool that help you clean hard-to-reach areas. It’s lightweight enough to make carrying it up and down long flights of stairs feel effortless.

3.Dyson Quick Release

Pros & Cons

At the top of the handle is a switch that disengages the battery and lets it slide out; you can charge the battery separately from the device, swap it out entirely, or leave it in the Omni-glide to let it charge while attached.

While Dyson’s V-series vacuum cleaners have a trigger to control power, the Omni-glide has a more convenient physical power button, located on the handle just behind the filter. A single press turns the Omni-glide on or off, and a second ‘Max’ button located next to the power button turns the suction power up or down. This is simpler to use since you don’t need to keep a finger on the trigger to run the device, and also lets you slide the vacuum cleaner into narrow openings and access hard-to-reach spaces.

4.Dyson Ball Animal 2

Pros & Cons

The best Dyson vacuum we’ve tested with an upright design is the Dyson Ball Animal 2. This bagless upright vacuum clears a remarkable amount of debris on high and low-pile carpet, easily cleaning pet hair as well as fine and large debris.

Suction performance doesn’t decrease even as its dustbin fills up, which is great if you have several large messes to deal with. Its floorhead height automatically changes depending on the surface that you’re cleaning, and you can stop the rotation of the brushroll if you want to clean on bare floors.

5.Dyson Upright Vacuum

Pros & Cons

The best cordless Dyson vacuum with a handheld design that we’ve tested is the Dyson Humdinger.

Its lightweight construction makes it easy to pick up and carry to hard-to-reach places in your home. It has a simple design that’s easy to maintain, and as long as you clean its allergen-trapping HEPA filter regularly, recurring costs shouldn’t be a major concern.

6.Dyson 216041-01

Pros & Cons

Its maximum battery life of roughly 30 minutes is long for a cordless vacuum, though running it continuously in its ‘MAX’ suction mode drops its battery life to roughly 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, this vacuum has a very small dustbin that needs frequent emptying. Also, like many Dyson vacuums, parts of its mainly plastic construction feel somewhat flimsy. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a Dyson vacuum well-suited to spot-cleaning, it’s a good option, and its versatile overall performance makes it one of the best handheld vacuums for pet hair that we’ve tested.

7.Dyson V6

Pros & Cons

The Dyson V6 cordless vacuum cleaner is the entry-level cordless Dyson vacuum, but don’t let that put you off, it is superb.  The V6 is powerful, light and fit for purpose. It’s light and nimble, making it highly manoeuvrable, but that comes at the price of having a short battery life and small dust bin.

With the exception of the Absolute, all of the models are effectively the same but come in different colours and with different toolsets.  We’ll cover each in detail later on in the review.  It’s important to choose the right tools for your home, as it will make a different to which Dyson V6 cordless vacuum you choose to invest in. You’ll find that through this Dyson V6 review we’ll spend a lot of time highlighting the attachments and tools that come with the vacuum, rather than the vacuum itself.  The tools are hugely important and one of the reasons why the Dyson cordless vacuum range is one of the best in the market.
